Homicide detectives investigating after man critically wounded in Odenton shooting, Anne Arundel police say

Homicide detectives are investigating after a 19-year-old man was critically wounded during a shooting in Odenton early Thursday morning, Anne Arundel County police said.

County officers responded around 12:45 a.m. to the 700 block of Hammond Branch Drive in Odenton after someone called 911 about a shooting in a parking lot, police said.

At the scene, police said officers found the 19-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.

Officers rendered medical aid until paramedics arrived to takeover medical care, police said.

The man was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with a life-threatening injury, according to police.
