Baltimore man reported missing after Odenton home invasion was safe at home, police say

A Baltimore man reported as missing after four men armed with handguns entered an Odenton apartment Wednesday night has been located safe at his home, Anne Arundel County police said Friday.

Darius Owens, 20, was reported missing after the armed men entered the apartment in the 300 block of Baldwin Road and ransacked it while holding the occupants at gunpoint, police said. The victims told police they feared Owens might have been abducted by the intruders.

Police were able to contact Owens Friday at his home. He told them he left the apartment and drove off in a blue Acura TSX reported missing after the incident.

No arrests have been made in the incident. Detectives from the Western District Station are investigating and asked anyone with information to call 410-222-6155. Callers can remain anonymous by calling the police tips line at 410-222-4700.
