Anne Arundel County police are still seeking two suspects who they say displayed a handgun and forced a man out of his vehicle in Glen Burnie and into a minivan before driving him a quarter mile and shooting him during a struggle before fleeing in his vehicle, police said.

Around 2:45 p.m., officers responded for a report of a shooting in the area of Crain Court and Crain Highway in Glen Burnie, police said. Upon arrival, they rendered life-saving measures until EMS arrived on the 48-year-old man who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man told police he was seated in his 2003 Toyota 4Runner on Crain Highway when he was approached by the two unknown males, police said. One displayed a handgun and ordered the victim out of his vehicle, then both of them forced the man into a minivan, police said.

Both vehicles were then driven to the area of Crain Court and Crain Highway, where the victim struggled over a handgun with one of the suspects, police said. The suspect fired the handgun, striking the victim in the upper torso, police said.

The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle and the victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. The suspects were described as two black males, one was tall with a slim build wearing dark clothing and a yellow/orange work vest and the other was approximately 5′6″ to 5′7″ tall also wearing dark clothing and yellow or orange work vest, police said.

Investigators believe it was a targeted incident and not a random act of violence. Police ask anyone with information to contact detectives at 410-222-4720 or the TipLine at 410-222-4700.
