Man with a gun attempted to rob Glen Burnie home, Anne Arundel police say

A man entered a Glen Burnie home with a handgun early Tuesday morning, got into a short scuffle with a resident of the home and then fled the scene, police say.

The suspect is described as a 5′6 Hispanic male around age 20 or 30 who was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, police said.

The resident of the home located on the 100 block of Margate Drive in Glen Burnie heard the suspect open his screen door around 12:45 a.m. The suspect then entered the home, displayed a handgun and announced a robbery, police said in a report. The homeowner was able to push the suspect out of the house after a short struggle and the suspect fled the scene.

There were no reported injuries.
