Police arrest one of three men they say used a stolen van to drive into Glen Burnie Walgreens to steal ATM

Anne Arundel County police arrested one of three men who they say rammed a stolen van into the front of a Walgreens in Glen Burnie early Monday morning.

Officers responded around 5:30 a.m. Monday to an intruder alarm at a Walgreens pharmacy at 7953 Crain Highway where witnesses told police three men used a van to smash the storefront and steal an ATM, police said.

Responding officers saw three men get into a white Ford E-350 and flee eastbound on Crain Highway. Officers chased the van through Baltimore City into Baltimore County until it stopped on Dundalk Avenue in Dundalk, police said.

The three men got out of the van and fled on foot, police said. Officers apprehended one man, but the other two men evaded police.

Police charged Arteze Marquis Lang, 29, of Baltimore, with burglary, theft and destruction of property, in addition to a score of traffic offenses. Lang did not have an attorney listed in court records Tuesday.

The Ford E-350 was reported stolen from Baltimore and impounded for processing. Eastern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135. People who wish to remain anonymous are encouraged to call the Anne Arundel County police tip line at 410-222-4700
