Man robs Crofton 7-Eleven with long gun, pepper sprays employee, police say

A man robbed a 7-Eleven store in Crofton early Wednesday morning armed with a gun and pepper-sprayed an employee on the way out, Anne Arundel County police said.

Around 2:30 a.m., a person armed with a long gun walked into the store at 2129 Defense Highway, police said.

The assailant took cash, lottery tickets and other items from the store, police said.

Before he left, police said the suspect showered the clerk in pepper spray.

The 7-Eleven employee sustained minor injuries, according to police.
