Crownsville man charged with firearm and drug offenses after Anne Arundel police searched home

Anne Arundel County police found multiple bags with cocaine residue, as well as bullets and a pistol when they forced their way into a Crownsville home Wednesday morning while carrying out a search warrant, according to court documents.

At around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police said they arrived at the house occupied by James Joseph Fegan, 23, of Crownsville, and two other people. After knocking at the door to no response, one officer forced his way into the home and another ordered Fegan to the ground, according to court records.

While Fegan and the two other people in the home sat on a couch in the living room, police searched Fegan’s bedroom, where they found multiple bags and a digital scale with cocaine residue, as well as bullets, a magazine and a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, according to charging documents.

Officers arrested Fegan and transported him to Western District Police Station, according to charging documents. Fegan is facing a handgun/drug trafficking crime charges, drug distribution with a firearm and other firearm and drug possession offenses, according to online court records.
