The victim of a fatal shooting on Thursday in Annapolis has been identified as Cornell Young, 23, of Baltimore, Annapolis police said.
Police responded around 1 p.m. Thursday to the end of Pleasant Street for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found Young who had been shot and was transported to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to contact detectives at 410-260-3439. You can also call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP and submit an anonymous tip. If your tip leads to an arrest or indictment you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000, police said.
Young’s killing is the fifth homicide in Annapolis so far this year.
