Arundel growth meeting Wednesday night

Anne Arundel County's Office of Planning and Zoning will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight to discuss new "growth tiers" for the county.

The growth tiers are being established to comply with a state law popularly called the "septic bill." The state law requires local governments to establish tiers describing where new subdivisions will be required to connect to the public sewer system and where new subdivisions must use septic systems.

Officials from the Office and Planning and Zoning will present a map they've developed showing the tiers. The map is posted online at www.aacounty.org.

The meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at 2664 Riva Road in Annapolis, in the Chesapeake Room on the second floor.
