Women struck in White Marsh after feud over parking spot

A woman was punched in the face and then pinned between two cars Friday in a lot at The Avenue at White Marsh after a "screaming match" over a parking spot, police said.

Police received a 911 call at 8:25 p.m. about a fight. When police arrived, they found the victim lying in the parking lot near Staples and screaming.

Police said it appears a woman driving an Oldsmobile believed her parking spot had been stolen. An argument ensued with the passenger of the other car, a Volkswagen. The driver punched the passenger in the face, then got back in her Oldsmobile and hit the victim, pinning her against a Nissan Sentra, according to police.

The victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. A witness who tried to write down the Oldsmobile driver's information also was struck but not injured, police said.

Police are not releasing the names of the women involved.
