Two shootings occur within minutes on Baltimore's west side

Baltimore city police are investigating two shootings that occurred on the west side Tuesday evening within minutes of each other.

The first incident involved an unidentified male who was shot multiple times at 10:03 p.m. in the 4300 block of Old Frederick Road.

Two minutes later, police responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the unit block of South Woodington Road, near Frederick Road. A 21-year-old man was shot several times and is listed in critical condition at an area hospital, police said.

The shootings both occurred in the city's Irvington neighborhood.
