Wednesday forecast: Rain, high near 45

The National Weather Service is calling for Wednesday to be rainy in the Baltimore area, mainly after 3 p.m., with a high near 45 and east winds between 3 and 9 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. Rainfall amounts between one quarter of an inch and half an inch are possible.

A small craft advisory has been issued for late Wednesday and Wednesday night for the lower tidal Potomac River and the Maryland Chesapeake Bay. Minor coastal flooding is also expected Wednesday night.

Wednesday night is expected to be rainy, with a low around 42 and southeast winds between 8 and 15 miles per hour. The chance of rain is 100 percent. Rainfall amounts between three quarters of an inch and one inch are possible.

Thursday is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 58 and west winds between 9 and 13 miles per hour.

Thursday night is expected to be mostly cloudy and breezy, with a low around 34 and south winds 8 to 11 miles per hour becoming westerly between 18 and 21 miles per hour.
