Daily crimes reported by Annapolis Police Department

According to a release from the Annapolis Police Department, officers responded to 101 calls for service and arrested 11 people in the past 24 hours.

Officers arrested Renardo Green, 42, of Annapolis on Thursday for robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment in connection with a Nov. 18 incident in the unit block of W. Washington St., police said.

A 92-year-old victim suffered undisclosed injuries when Green attempted to rob him around 7 p.m. that night, according to police.

Green is being held on $500,000 bond, police said.

Other crimes

Attempted burglary: Between Dec. 6 at 8:30 p.m. and Dec. 7 at 5:30 a.m., an unknown person damaged the lock and opened the front door to a business in the 600 block of Taylor Ave., according to police. The suspect was unable to gain entry to the business through a second locked door, police said.

Theft: At 9 p.m. on Dec. 8, Rodney Keith Wilson, 51, of Annapolis was arrested for stealing crab meat from a restaurant kitchen in the 400 block of Sixth Street, police said. A separate restaurant in the 400 block of Fourth Street reported a suspicious person entering the kitchen, according to police. After a foot chase, officers were able to catch the suspect and recover the crab meat.

Police charged Wilson with theft. He is being held on $3,500 bond, police said.
