County Executive Kevin Kamenetz this week officially kicked off the Baltimore County Department of Social Services annual Toy Drive and Adopt-a-Family program — which provides toys and holiday meals for county families in need.
Last year the department served 6,713 individuals through the programs. Officials said the need is expected to increase this year.
New, unwrapped toys may be donated at any branch of the Baltimore County Public Library, at Fullerton Self-Storage or at Silhouettes located in the Kenwood Shopping Center. Groups wishing to adopt a family may call the Volunteer Office at 410-853-3024.
