Due to erroneous information provided by the Maryland Department of Agriculture, an article in Tuesday's editions incorrectly reported that 30,000 chickens died in Maryland during Hurricane Irene. A departmental spokeswoman said Wednesday that the chickens died in Delaware when a chicken house flooded.
