The Glenwood Lions Club recently held their annual High School Recognition Night at Circle D Farm. During this annual event, the Lions Club awarded four outstanding students $1,000 scholarships. Receiving a scholarship and recognition for their achievements from Glenelg High School were Katie Pindell and Allisa Stinnett. Marriotts Ridge High School scholarship winners were Sarah Ferrell and Meredith Krzys.
In addition to the introduction of scholarship winners, members of the Glenelg High School DECA Club were on hand to share information about their activities and accomplishments over the past year. Last, but not least, the Lions were treated to a preview of the Glenelg High School's Dance Club's spring program. Both the DECA Club and the Dance Club were each awarded $500 to help support their programs next year.
