Elizabeth K. "Beth" Hendrickson, a pharmaceutical sales representative who restored a Baltimore County farmhouse, died May 21 of brain cancer at her Upperco home.
She was 53.
Elizabeth Kearney was born and raised in Mechanicsburg, Pa. She was a 1975 graduate of Mechanicsburg Area High School.
While attending Millersville University in Millersville, Pa., where she earned a degree in fine arts in 1979, she met and fell in love with a classmate, Karl L. Hendrickson, whom she married in 1981.
For more than 20 years, Mrs. Hendrickson worked in sales in Baltimore for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.
In 1986, Mrs. Hendrickson and her husband settled in Upperco, where they restored a 135-year-old farmhouse.
Mrs. Hendrickson was diagnosed with cancer in 2001, and her husband, who taught graphic arts at North Carroll High School, was diagnosed with cancer the following year. He died in 2003.
A talented watercolorist, Mrs. Hendrickson enjoyed painting landscapes. She also was a community and environmental activist.
For the past eight years, Mrs. Hendrickson and her companion, Jon Roll, a Becton Dickinson marketing manager, enjoyed traveling.

In addition to Mr. Roll, Mrs. Hendrickson is survived by her son, Drew Hendrickson of Pittsburgh; her mother, Betty Lou Kearney of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Victoria Trexler of Marietta, Pa.; and a stepdaughter, Lauren Roll of Towson.
