Virginia Boyle, a retired Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone administrative assistant who belonged to bridge clubs, died of pneumonia Sunday at Pickersgill Retirement Community. She was 98.
Born Virginia Dahm in Baltimore and raised on Calvert Street, she was a 1931 Seton High School graduate. She attended what is now Towson University.
She was an administrative assistant with the old C&P Telephone Co. in downtown Baltimore and was a volunteer at the Mother Seton House on Paca Street. She was also a volunteer at the library of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, where she was a member.
Mrs. Doyle belonged to the Homeland Garden Club, the Three Arts Club of Homeland and the Woman's Club of Roland Park.
She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several clubs. She also made decoupage handbags.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pickersgill, 615 Chestnut Ave.
Survivors include a daughter, Tina Boyle Moran of Lutherville. Harry S. Boyle Jr., her husband of 33 years who headed C&P's public relations department, died in 1980.
