Marlene R. Chisholm, a retired registered nurse, died Jan. 8 of lung cancer at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was 73.
Marlene Rose Larrimore was born in Baltimore and raised in Brooklyn Park. She was a 1955 graduate of Southern High School.
She was married in 1960 to G.G. Chisholm, who owned and operated a home-improvement business. He died in 2005.
Mrs. Chisholm, who had lived in Severna Park, Annapolis and Cape St. Claire, entered college after raising her two sons.
After graduating from Anne Arundel Community College with a degree in nursing, Mrs. Chisholm worked at the old Church Home Hospital in Baltimore and later at North Arundel Hospital, from which she retired in 2002.
A world traveler, she also was an avid gardener.
Services were held Friday.
Surviving are two sons, Michael G. Chisholm of Severna Park and Gwyn D. Chisholm of Edgewater; a brother, Gordon Larrimore of Glen Burnie; two sisters, Norma Larrimore of Baltimore and Patricia Campbell of Linthicum; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
