More Robinson records

Denard Robinson, QB, Michigan

Buzz: He became the first player in FBS history to pass for 200 yards and rush for 200 yards in a regular-season game twice in his career when he led the Wolverines on a game-winning drive Saturday against Indiana.

Up next: No. 17 Michigan State, Saturday.

Terrelle Pryor, QB, Ohio State

Buzz: A strained left quadriceps derailed his performance Saturday against Illinois and showed why the Buckeyes need Pryor in the lineup. He passed for two touchdowns and rushed for 100 yards in the 24-13 victory.

Up next: Indiana, Saturday.

Cam Newton, QB, Auburn

Buzz: The junior had another big day despite sitting out much of the second half in a 52-3 rout of Louisiana-Monroe, throwing for 245 yards and three TDs. He continues to power one of the SEC's most explosive offenses.

Up next: at Kentucky, Saturday.

LaMichael James, RB, Oregon

Buzz: In one of the biggest games of the year, James ran over and through Stanford's defense, amassing 257 yards on 30 carries and finding the end zone three times in the Ducks' 52-31 victory.

Up next: at Washington State, Saturday.

Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama

Buzz: While his performance against Florida wasn't one of his best this season — 47 yards on 12 carries — his presence in Alabama's lineup has added a spark for the Tide's offense.

Up next: at No. 19 South Carolina, Saturday.

Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford

Buzz: He suffered his first loss of the season against Oregon but still showed why he should be considered for the award, throwing for 341 yards and 2 TDs and rushing for another.

Up next: USC, Saturday.

Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas

Buzz: Despite having the week off, he continues to lead the SEC in total offense and is third in the nation as well.

Up next: vs. Texas A&M, Saturday.

Honorable mention: Daniel Thomas (Kansas State), Kellen Moore (Boise State), Darron Thomas (Oregon), Colin Kaepernick (Nevada).
