Terrelle Pryor, QB, Ohio State
Buzz: A strained left quadriceps derailed his performance Saturday against Illinois and showed why the Buckeyes need Pryor in the lineup. He passed for two touchdowns and rushed for 100 yards in the 24-13 victory.

Cam Newton, QB, Auburn
Buzz: The junior had another big day despite sitting out much of the second half in a 52-3 rout of Louisiana-Monroe, throwing for 245 yards and three TDs. He continues to power one of the SEC's most explosive offenses.

LaMichael James, RB, Oregon
Buzz: In one of the biggest games of the year, James ran over and through Stanford's defense, amassing 257 yards on 30 carries and finding the end zone three times in the Ducks' 52-31 victory.

Buzz: While his performance against Florida wasn't one of his best this season — 47 yards on 12 carries — his presence in Alabama's lineup has added a spark for the Tide's offense.

Buzz: He suffered his first loss of the season against Oregon but still showed why he should be considered for the award, throwing for 341 yards and 2 TDs and rushing for another.

Buzz: Despite having the week off, he continues to lead the SEC in total offense and is third in the nation as well.
