Boys Athlete of the Week

A junior transfer from Glenelg Country School, Gamble had a hand in eight of 10 goals last week in leading the No. 1 Eagles (10-1) to three victories, including a 6-0 win over Charlotte Latin from North Carolina. He scored the first three goals and had an assist against Charlotte Latin before sitting out the second half. He also had a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Archbishop Spalding and the same in a 2-1 win over Calvert Hall. A member of the two-time national champion Baltimore Bays Chelsea club team, he has declined invitations to join the U.S. Under-17 team in residency in Florida. Gamble has a 3.8 grade-point average and is considering scholarship offers from Maryland, Wake Forest, Virginia, Duke and UCLA among others as well as the possibility of playing pro soccer in Europe after high school.
