Wi moves up; Woods 9 back

Charlie Wi shot a 2-under 69 on Friday to join Matt Kuchar in the lead after two rounds of the BMW Championship in Lemont, Ill.

Still battling an illness that left him almost without a voice the day before, Kuchar rebounded from four early bogeys for a 72.

Marc Leishman had the best score of the day on a course that has been giving the field fits, shooting a 65 to climb one shot off the lead at 5-under 137.

Tiger Woods remained out of the mix after shooting a 72 that left him nine shots back at 3-over 145 and looking at an ouster from the FedEx Cup playoffs.

Morgan Pressel's 5-under 66 gave her a one shot lead after the first round of the P&G NW Arkansas Championship in Rogers, Ark. … Tradition winner Fred Funk, Michael Allen and Jay Don Blake each shot 3-under 69 to share the opening-round lead in Songdo, South Korea, on the Champions Tour's first trip to Asia. … Nicolas Colsaerts of Belgium and India's Shiv Kapur led the European Tour's Dutch Open in Hilversum, Netherlands.
