Smith called into Charlotte radio station WFNZ-AM, acknowledging he had been a regular participant in an adult flag football league at a Charlotte YMCA.

•Veteran cornerback Walt Harris agreed to a one-year deal with the Ravens. … The Minnesota Court of Appeals has rejected the NFL's request to expedite its handling of the case of Vikings Kevin Williams and Pat Williams, which means the defensive tackles may get to play the entire upcoming season.
