Baltimore City police are investigating the shooting death of a man that occurred Wednesday evening.

Police said that around 6:45 p.m., a 29-year-old man was shot multiple times in the torso in the 500 block of Chateau Avenue. The man, whose identity was not released by police, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to a police spokesman.

Homicide detectives are investigating. No further information was available Wednesday night.
