Richard Maurice, in Street, says: "Every clear day, just after sunrise, I see an incredible 'flying line' of starlings headed north. There must be hundreds of thousands. Any idea where they're headed?" Bruce Peterjohn, at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, says they're not migrating, just moving from overnight roosts to feeding areas 10-20 miles away.
