Keith Young of Baltimore reports that December 2009 broke yet another weather record for Baltimore. We've already said it was the wettest and snowiest December the city has seen since record-keeping began in the 19th century. Keith noticed that it also was the wettest month on record for a meteorological winter month (Dec., Jan., Feb.). BWI recorded 8.06 inches of melted precipitation in December, eclipsing the 7.84 inches that fell in January 1979. August 1955 was our wettest month, with 18.55 inches of rain.
