Man stabbed during attempted robbery in Mt. Vernon

A man was stabbed in the abdomen during an attempted robbery early Wednesday morning in Mt. Vernon, according to city police.

The man, who police have not identified, was taken to an area hospital, and his injuries are not considered life threatening.

Police say the man was in the 800 block of N. Calvert St. about 3:10 a.m. when he was approached by two suspects. The suspects robbed the man then fled on foot toward Guilford Avenue, according to police.

Police have made no arrests.

In a separate incident, an unidentified man was shot in the leg and arm in West Baltimore about 5:30 a.m. this morning. The man was taken to an area hospital, and his condition is unknown.
