There's more snow on the way today. This is the sixth snow event to top 1 inch so far this season. Before the first flake falls, the seasonal total at BWI-Thurgood Marshall Airport stands at 35.6 inches, nearly twice the seasonal average of 18 inches. This feels like a really snowy winter, maybe because we've gone six consecutive winters only managing to beat the average once (in 2005-2006, by an inch). But most of us can recall much snowier seasons. In 2002-2003 we topped 58 inches. And in 1995-1996 we set the record at 62.5 inches.
