• The Come Together Benefit concert at Recher Theatre, scheduled for Feb. 6, has been canceled.

• Sunday's Bach Concert Series at Christ Lutheran Church, Inner Harbor, has been canceled. The next concert, Bach's St. John Passion, will be presented on March 7.

• Baltimore County's 2010 Black Saga Competition scheduled for Saturday has been rescheduled to its snow date of Feb. 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New Town High School, 4931 New Town Blvd., Owings Mills.

• The Peabody Symphony Orchestra concert scheduled for Feb. 6, at 8 p.m. has been canceled. Persons who have purchased tickets to the Feb. 6 concert will receive a full refund or may call the Peabody Box Office at 410-234-4800 to arrange to exchange their tickets.

• The Franklin High School Athletic Boosters' Basket Bingo event scheduled for Saturday has been postponed. The event will be held Saturday, March 20, at Northminster Presbyterian Church, at 705 Main Street in Reisterstown.

Admission is $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Games begin at 6 p.m. In addition, dinner and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Proceeds benefit the Franklin Athletic Boosters and will help defray athletic department costs for the school year.

• Merritt Athletic Clubs will close early Friday, Feb. 5. Merritt's Canton, DAC and Fort Avenue locations will close at 7 p.m. All other locations (Bare Hills, Cranbrook, Eldersburg, Security and Towson) will close at 5 p.m. Group fitness classes will be at a minimum this weekend, so please call the club to learn about class cancellations and modified schedules that may take place at each location. •The Baltimore Bridal Show scheduled for Feb. 6-7, at The Baltimore Convention Center, has been rescheduled for Feb. 13-14.

• The Homewood Museum and Evergreen Museum & Library will be closed Feb. 6 and Feb. 7.

• These courts are closing early Friday: Baltimore County Circuit Court and the Clerk's Office, closing at 1 p.m.; Carroll County District Court, closing at noon; Harford County District Court, closing at 1 p.m.; Howard County District Court, closing at noon.

• Harford Community College's You Can Afford College event has been rescheduled to Feb 13.

• The Walters Art Museum's Free Walk-in Tour Sunday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. has been canceled.

• A book signing and reading with authors Mark Anderson and Sab Grey scheduled for 7 p.m. on Feb. 5 at Atomic Books has been postponed. A new date has not been set.

• Anne Arundel Community College is rescheduling its Feb. 6, Black History Month presentation, "The Boss: Blue Angels Capt. Donnie Cochran." The free presentation will now take place Saturday, Feb. 13.

• The "Luck Be a Lady" concert set for 8 p.m. on Feb. 5 at the Music Center at Strathmore has been canceled. The concert has been rescheduled for Feb. 19. The Gato & the Palenke Music Co. concert is postponed until Friday, April 9 at 9 p.m. The entire Strathmore campus will be closed on Feb. 6 and Feb. 7. This includes all education classes and performances in the Music Center and Mansion.

• The ticket center for the National Aquarium, Baltimore will close at 2 p.m. on Feb. 5. Visitors may tour the building for 90 minutes after the ticket center closes. The last dolphin show of the day will be at 1:30 p.m. Fridays after Five and all other evening events are canceled. The National Aquarium will be closed on Feb. 6. All associated programs and events are canceled.

• The Enoch Pratt Free Library's Booklovers' Breakfast featuring author and actor Hill Harper scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 6 has been canceled. A new date will be announced soon.

• The Maryland Science Center will be closed on Feb. 5.

• The Goya Contemporary Gallery will close early at 2 p.m. on Feb. 5. The gallery will also be closed on Feb. 6.

• The Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower Open Studio Day originally scheduled for Feb. 6 is canceled. The event takes place next month, as scheduled, on March 6 from 1-5 p.m.

• First Fridays at the Walters Art Museum has been canceled for Feb. 5. Brazilian-themed performers will be rescheduled for a future First Fridays. Additionally, ArtKids Preschool: Zomo the Rabbit on Feb. 6 is canceled. And the Family Fun morning donor event has been canceled for Feb. 6 and is rescheduled for March 6.

• The men's basketball game between Towson and James Madison originally scheduled for Saturday has been postponed until 7 p.m. Monday at the Towson Center.

• Live racing at Laurel Park is canceled for Friday and Saturday. Simulcasting at Laurel and Pimlico Race Course is open on Friday afternoon, but both tracks will be closed Saturday. The $70,000 Marshua Stakes, originally scheduled for Saturday, is moved to Monday.

• Babe's Birthday Bash at the Babe Ruth Museum, postponed from Friday to Feb. 12. Additionally, the Babe Ruth Museum has moved activities from the Babe Ruth Birthplace on Saturday to Feb. 13. On that day, the museum will show rare Babe Ruth movies at the birthplace from noon until closing in honor of Ruth's birthday.

• "My Favorite Things -- Song Cycles by Great Composers" at Towson University Center for the Arts, rescheduled to Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. All events are canceled if the university is closed.

• The AFI Silver Theatre is closed Feb. 6. 'The Secret to a Happy Ending' with the Drive-By Truckers screening scheduled for midnight Feb. 5 is canceled. Refunds and exchanges are available.

• The BSO performances of "Porgy & Bess" for Feb. 5 and Feb. 6 are canceled. The BSO is adjusting its normal exchange policy and allowing the following options to be made through Feb. 15: Liberal exchange, ticket donation and refund. Go to bsomusic.org for more information.

• Due to the potential for inclement weather, Carroll County public schools said Thursday there will be a system-wide, 2-hour and 45-minute early dismissal for middle and high schools on Friday. Elementary schools were already scheduled to have an early dismissal for professional time for teachers.

• The Maryland Transit Administration announced early return trips for Friday afternoon for many of its commuter buses departing Baltimore and Washington. Many buses will be leaving three hours early. More details.

• Due to impending winter weather conditions in Virginia and the Carolinas, most Amtrak service south from Washington, D.C., has been canceled for Friday.

All southbound Northeast Regional trains, with the exception of Train 67, are canceled between Washington and Richmond, Va., and Newport News, Va., with no alternate transportation. Northeast Regional Train 176 is canceled between Lynchburg, Va., and Washington and Train 171 is canceled from Washington to Lynchburg.

Palmetto Trains 89 and 90, are canceled in their entirety between New York and Savannah.

Carolinian Trains 79 and 80 will operate only between Raleigh, N.C., and Charlotte.

Silver Service trains between New York and Miami will operate normally.
