Eagles hire ex-Raven Savage as draft consultant

Phil Savage, who oversaw the first nine drafts in Ravens history, has been hired as a draft consultant by the Philadelphia Eagles, he confirmed to The Baltimore Sun. Savage was the Ravens' director of college scouting and the team's director of player personnel from 1996 to 2004 before becoming the Cleveland Browns' general manager. He was fired by the Browns at the end of the 2008 season. ... Ravens defensive backs coach Mark Carrier has joined the New York Jets as defensive line coach, the Ravens confirmed. Carrier, who has been on the Ravens staff since 2006, believes the move will help him become a defensive coordinator. Chuck Pagano will remain the Ravens' secondary coach.

Postponements: : "Babe's Birthday Bash" at the Sports Legends Museum has been moved from today to next Friday because of predicted snow. Ticket-holders unable to attend should call 410-727-1539. ... The UMBC Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony was postponed from Saturday to April 3. ... Towson's men's basketball home game against James Madison was moved from Saturday to Monday at 7 p.m.

Colleges: : Jean Cajou scored 16 points, leading host Mount St. Mary's (8-14, 5-6 Northeast Conference) to a men's basketball victory against Wagner (4-20, 2-9). ... Midfielder Diego McQuestion (Gilman) and goalie Thurman Van Riper of Groton, Mass., will play soccer at Loyola. ... Big East coaches picked Loyola's women's lacrosse team to finish fourth.
