Peacefully on February 2, 2010, RICHARD WEISHORN passed away at his daughter Debbie's home after suffering from illnesses for quite some time. As a devoted veteran to his country, he fought in the Korean War and was decorated with a purple heart. He was an avid Steelers fan who loved to travel, garden, watching sunsets from his porch, and spending time with his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita Weishorn; dear brother of Charlie Weishorn; companion of his lady friend Lula Essex; loving father of Donna and her husband Tom, Kevin and his wife Laurie, Debbie and her husband Melvin, Vicky and her husband Butch, and Steve; cherished "Pop-Pop" and "Poppy" of Angie, Crystal, Cookie and her husband Chris, Marie and her fiance Mike, Michelle, and Nick; great grandfather of Courtney, Cameron, Brittany, Devin, Kailey, Seth, and Aidan. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Family members and friends may call at the AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Road, Lansdowne, MD 21227 on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. and on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. where a funeral service will be held on Saturday evening at 7 P.M.
