'Scholarships for Scholars' available

"Scholarships for Scholars" awards scholarships to qualified seniors in public and private Anne Arundel high schools. The deadline for applications is Feb. 9. Students with a GPA of 3.5 or more, combined SAT scores of at least 1650, or ACT scores of at least 25 are encouraged to apply. Students may apply in two academic areas. Applications are available through high school guidance or career counselors, and may also be downloaded at aacps.org/sfsinc/howtoapply.asp. Spring registration

Registration for spring session classes offered by Anne Arundel Community College is taking place at the seven senior activity centers operated by the county Department of Aging and Disabilities. Classes begin the first week of April. Class schedules are available at the senior center you plan to attend or go to aacounty.com/aging and click on a center for its list of classes. Fine arts classes

Registration is under way for spring fine arts classes at St. John's College in Annapolis that begin Feb. 13. Classes will be held on weekday evenings and weekend mornings at the college, 60 College Ave. The deadline for registration is two weeks before the start of each class. Tuition is $185.
