On January 23, 2010, ROSALEEN DiBATTISTA; beloved wife of John J. DiBattista. Dear mother of Patricia D. Nicholls and her husband Edward, John L. DiBattista and his wife Irene and Teresa M. DiBattista and her husband David Mergardt. Dear grandmother of Flynn and Clare Nicholls and Brian MacCarron. Mrs. DiBattista was a civilian employee (stenographer) in General Eisenhower's Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Forces offices in London, England during WWII. She sustained minor wounds from flying glass propelled by concussion of a German V2 rocket. Friends may call at the family-owned MITCHELL-WIEDEFELD FUNERAL HOME INC., 6500 York Road (at Overbrook) on Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Catholic Prayer Service will be held Tuesday 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
