Ravens safety Ed Reed will miss the Pro Bowl.
The Miami Dolphins' Yeremiah Bell will be Reed's replacement.
Reed, who said he was "50-50" on whether he would return next season, was scheduled to meet with his medical team this offseason to discuss his injuries.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh and teammates have said they expect Reed to come back for the 2010 season.
That leaves the Ravens with four players in Sunday's Pro Bowl: linebacker Ray Lewis, running back Ray Rice, defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and fullback Le'Ron McClain.
The Pro Bowl safeties for the AFC are: Bell, the New England Patriots' Brandon Meriweather and the Denver Broncos' Brian Dawkins.
