SHOOTING WOES DOOM VISITING GREYHOUNDS

Loyola hit just two shots from the field in the second half of Friday's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game against Siena and trailed throughout, falling, 59-33, at the Alumni Recreation Center in Loudonville, N.Y.

Miriam McKenzie (Oakland Mills) led the Greyhounds (9-8, 4-3) with 13 points and five rebounds. Devon Carey scored seven.

The Saints' defense held Loyola to 10 field goals and 20.8 percent shooting for the game.

Siena (6-10, 4-3) held a 25-12 lead with four minutes remaining in the first half.

Loyola trailed just 29-20 early in the second half, but Siena scored four straight and the Greyhounds couldn't cut the deficit to single digits for the remainder of the game.

Sarah Fullmer had a game-high 20 points for the Saints, and Serena Moore added 18.

Loyola travels to Marist at 4 p.m. Sunday.
