Evelyn Johns, formerly of Locust Point, turned 95 a few weeks ago at Stella Maris. Her family asks what the weather was like on the day she was born. Sun librarian Paul McCardell pulled the clips: Dec. 29, 1914, brought "Streets covered with ice that later turned to slush, a driving rain that pelted down from early morning ... and a blanket of clouds that all but shut out every vestige of sunshine. ... There were many accidents ... with broken bones and bruised bodies." Happy 95th, Evelyn!
