Harris' 29 lead Navy, 94-83; UMBC falls to Hartford, 74-68

Chris Harris scored 29 points to power the host Navy men past Lehigh, 94-83, on Thursday night. The Midshipmen (8-9, 2-0 Patriot League) have won two straight. The Mountain Hawks (10-7, 1-1) had won six in a row.

More men's college basketball: : Adrian Satchell scored 16 but host UMBC (1-15, 0-3 America East), lost, 74-68, to Hartford (3-13, 1-2). ... Visiting St. Francis (N.Y.) (6-9, 3-2 Northeast Conference) scored the final four points to escape with a 61-58 win against Mount St. Mary's. Jeremy Goode had seven assists to set the school's all-time record with 534, breaking the mark of 529 set by Gregory Harris (1996-2000).

Women's college basketball: : Shanae Baker-Brice scored 32 to become Towson's all-time leading scorer with 1,557 points, but the Tigers (2-2, 8-2 Colonial Athletic Association) fell to James Madison, 72-68, in overtime. The Dukes (3-1, 13-2) rallied from seven down in the final 2:39 of regulation. ... Lauren Howell scored a season-high 20 to power host Mount St. Mary's to a 60-47 victory over St. Francis (N.Y.)

Wagering: : Delaware Gov. Jack Markell says the state will appeal restrictions on its sports betting lottery to the U.S. Supreme Court. Markell and his aides said the state expects to file its appeal by the end of the month. The appeal will ask the Supreme Court to reverse a ruling by a federal appeals court in Philadelphia that restricts the lottery to multi-bet wagers on professional football.
