NO.7 RIVER HILL GIRLS ROLL VS. HOWARD RANDALLSTOWN BOYS WIN IN THREE OTS

Alex Vega had a game-high 23 points as the No. 7 River Hill girls basketball team defeated Howard, 53-36, Wednesday.

The host Hawks (11-1) have won six of their past seven games, including a 60-48 victory over Howard on Jan. 5.

River Hill extended its three-point halftime lead by outscoring the Lions 13-4 in the fourth quarter.

Alauna Jackson led Howard (8-4) with 14 points.

No. 12 Catonsville 64, Patapsco 40: : Candace McCray had a game-high 18 points to lead the visiting Comets (11-1) past the Patriots.

No. 15 Severn 39, St. Paul's 33: : Aura Payne led the host Admirals (13-1) with 10 points. St. Paul's Simone Newsome led all scorers with 13 points.

Boys

Randallstown 89, Pikesville 88, 3OT: : Chaz Sharpe (29 points) made two free throws in the final 17 seconds of the third overtime to lift the visiting Rams (7-4) over the Panthers (9-3).

Pikesville forced the first two overtimes on free throws. Deandre Jackson (22 points) made two to tie the score at 73 to send the game to the first extra period, and Devohn Gilmore (36 points) made two with 2.8 seconds left in the second overtime for an 81-81 score.

No. 9 Patterson 61, Kenwood 21: : Thomas Fisher had 19 points to lead the visiting Clippers (8-3) past the Bluebirds.
