Towson men rally, fall to Drexel, 52-49
The Drexel men's basketball team took the lead 14 seconds into the game and never relinquished it, beating host Towson, 52-49, Wednesday.
The Tigers (3-12, 0-6 Colonial Athletic Association) cut the lead to three twice in the final two minutes.
Samme Givens had 10 points and 16 rebounds for the Dragons. Calvin Lee and Jarrel Smith each had 11 points for Towson, which has lost seven straight.
Women
UMBC 62, Albany 57: : The visiting Retrievers (8-8, 2-1 America East) bounced back from a five-point halftime deficit and shot 51.7 percent from the field in the second half to beat the Danes (7-8, 0-2). Katie Brooks scored 16 points and Tope Obajolu had 15 for UMBC.
Lehigh 64, Navy 56: : The host Mountain Hawks (14-3, 1-1 Patriot League) used a balanced attack led by Erica Prosser (14 points), Emily Gratch (14) and Alex Ross (13) to beat the Midshipmen (9-8, 1-1). Navy's Angela Myers finished with 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
