An article about palindrome dates in Saturday's editions misstated the next palindrome date under the European notation system. It will be on Feb. 1, 2010, or 01/02/2010. The article also placed the University of Portland in the wrong state. It is in Oregon.

The 2010 stargazer's calendar in Friday's editions said the Hunger Moon on Jan. 29 will be 56 Earth diameters from Earth. The correct measure is 56 Earth radii.
