What's the deal?: Some car-rental offers are so good right now that renting might be worth considering even if you have your own vehicle. Perhaps you own a gas guzzler and would rather drive something that gets better mileage - or you simply want to save some wear and tear on your car. For example, customer favorite Enterprise is offering a "weekend special" that amounts to 50 percent off standard weekday rates. The offer is valid through May 21.

What's the savings?: Depends on which type of car your rent. The discount is valid for cars, economy through full size, rented Fridays to Mondays.

What's the catch?: The offer is available only at certain locations in North America, but airports are not among them.
