A. Robert Kaufman, the Baltimore civil rights activist and socialist who ran for political office frequently, will be remembered at a service Wednesday. Mr. Kaufman, who sought offices ranging from Baltimore City Council to president of the United States, died Dec. 25 at the age of 78. He donated his body to science, so there will be no funeral.
"I just felt like I wanted to do something to remember him," said his sister, Ruth Lipsetts. "I know he knew a lot of people."
The memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation's chapel, 7401 Park Heights Ave.
