English as a Second Language

St. Mary's ESL program needs volunteers to teach English one night a week from January through May, 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at St. Mary's High School, 109 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis. The Regional Higher Education Center at Anne Arundel Community College at Arundel Mills will hold a free information session from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 7. The AACC University Consortium Information Session will offer assistance with advising, admission, registration and financial aid for the four schools at the center: College of Notre Dame of Maryland, McDaniel College, Stevenson University and University of Maryland University College, plus AACC. Registration for winter classes offered by Anne Arundel Community College is being held at the seven senior activity centers operated by the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities. Classes begin the week of Jan. 11.
