On December 13, 2009, LUCILLE RAY WOODHOUS was called home. Born May 6, 1924 and was married to the late Deacon Alexander Woodhous, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her son Alexander Woodhous, Jr.; brothers Ernest Ray, Jr., Norman Edward Ray, and Ronald Kenneth Ray; and sister Bessie Ray Camp. Lucille leaves to mourn her loving children Ernestine Ann, Michael Major, Mark Edwin and Robin Yvonne Stewart-Bey. She also leaves behind devoted brothers Deacon Horace Ray and Rev. Dr. Samuel Ray, along with devoted sisters Mary Louise Ray Dixon and Betty Ray Campbell, and a host of other family and friends. Visitation and funeral services will be held at the Morning Star Baptist Church of Christ, 1063 W. Fayette Street. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 PM. Wake 10 AM, funeral 10:30 AM on Saturday. Interment to immediately to follow. Services entrusted to Millers Metropolitan Chapel, 1639 N. Broadway.
