The sophomore small forward averaged 19.7 points and 6.7 rebounds to lead the Reds to three wins last week, as they improved to 7-0 this season. Alaeze, who averaged a team-high 17 points as a freshman, scored 17 points and added five rebounds and two blocks in the first half of the Reds' 55-21 win over the Institute of Notre Dame on Wednesday. She then scored 22 points - more than half of her team's output - in Friday's 42-40 upset of No. 5 St. Frances, also contributing seven rebounds and four blocks in playing all 32 minutes. She closed out the week Saturday with a 20-point, eight-rebound effort in a 42-28 win over Bryn Mawr. The three wins propelled the Reds from No. 14 to No. 2 in The Baltimore Sun's Top 15 girls basketball poll this week.
