Name: : The Armpocket.

What it is: : Made of fabric created from recycled plastic bottles and natural bamboo, the Armpocket is a "hands-free carrying system," according to the manufacturer. In other words: a place to stash essential items while running, biking, working out, walking or engaging in any activity where you don't want to carry things.

How it works: : You load it up with necessities, then strap it to your upper arm using an adjustable strap.

The good: : I tested the Aero 10, the smallest of three models, into which I placed an iPod, a house key and a driver's license. The Aero 10 is lightweight to the point that in a two-hour yardwork session, I forgot I was wearing it. I tested it again during a two-mile walk and found that it held an ID, energy bar, keys and iPod handily. Also good: It doesn't slip.

The bad: : The spot to run the iPod jack through wasn't easy to use. And I didn't test the Xtreme 30 or the Sport 20, but they appear to be rather large, maybe even unwieldy, if fully packed.

Cost: : Xtreme 30 is $33, Sport 20 is $30, and Aero 10 is $23. All come in several colors.
