'Unwind on Island Time' in the Bahamas

What's the deal?: In less than two weeks, AirTran will begin offering nonstop flights from Baltimore to Nassau, Bahamas. Online specials have fares starting at about $119 each way beginning Dec. 17.

The Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort is offering a hotel package to coincide with the new service. The "Unwind on Island Time" package starts at $269 per night and includes a $100 dining credit per day, taxes and resort charges. The beachfront hotel is known for water amenities such as freshwater pools and waterfalls.

What's the savings?: The $100 credit is applicable each day and the package requires at least a three-night stay, so savings add up. Without the credit you could book an overnight rate of $199, but it would not include taxes and fees.

Also, children under 12 accompanied by a paying adult stay and eat free when ordering from the kids menu and staying in the same room.

What's the catch?: Book by Feb. 28 for stays through Dec. 23, 2010
