Lauren Allam: Chesapeake-AA, senior

Allam took second in the state (shot put) in the difficult Class 4A last winter, losing to record-setter Emily Vannoy of Thomas Johnson, who wiped out the field. After that, Allam came through with a strong outdoor season.

Kristen Brown: McDonogh, senior

The versatile Brown, last winter's Performer of the Year, can compete in sprints, hurdles, relays and field events, helping the Eagles pile up points. She helped McDonogh win the indoor and outdoor IAAM A Conference crowns.

Dorehn Coleman: River Hill, senior

The sprinter won the 2A state title in the 300 last winter as the Hawks finished second overall. She also took third in the 55 and ran on the third-place 800 relay team.

Madeline Dulac: McDonogh, junior

Dulac won the 1,600 and 3,200 at the IAAM championships last winter and then did the same thing in the spring. In cross country, Dulac took fourth in the IAAM A Conference title race this fall.

Maura Linde: Century, junior

Linde won the 2A state crown in cross country to help the Knights take the team title. She set a record in the 1,600 last winter despite finishing second and has emerged as one of the state's top distance runners.

Alyssa McClure: Digital Harbor, senior

She's part of Digital Harbor's strong group of athletes that keeps the Rams in contention all the time. McClure can run short sprints or longer races (outdoors, she can do the 100 and 400 plus relays) and consistently scores points.

Amber Melville: North Carroll, junior

Melville has been dominant the past few seasons in the high jump. She won the 4A state title last winter and is regarded by most as the state's top high jumper in any class.

Brinae Robinson: Western, junior

She had a good season in cross country after a very strong sophomore season. Robinson gives the Doves points in the middle distances and relays and has found success indoors and outdoors.

Sasha Smallwood: Pikesville, junior

She has quickly developed into the state's top pole vaulter. Smallwood won the 1A state title in both indoor and outdoor track last year. Her vault of 11 feet, 1 inch at the indoor state meet set a state record.

Elizabeth Tauber: John Carroll, junior

Tauber is coming off a second straight IAAM championship this fall. She has been close to unbeatable in cross country and is hoping for similar success indoors.
