3 IN LIMOUSINE ARRESTED IN N.W. BALTIMORE

Police said a suspicious man seen jumping into a black, chauffeured Lincoln limousine Tuesday night tossed out a loaded semiautomatic handgun after officers stopped the vehicle in Northwest Baltimore.

A department spokesman said the officers arrested the suspect, a passenger and the driver and found marijuana in the car.

Anthony Guglielmi, the spokesman, said officers patrolling the 3900 block of Edgewood Road spotted the limo with West Virginia license plates about 9:30 p.m. About the same time, the officer saw a man in an alley "exhibiting characteristics of an armed person," the spokesman said.

The man apparently saw the officers and "exited the alley at a swift pace and jumped into the limo," Gugliemli said.

Officers pulled it over a few blocks away and, Guglielmi said, the man threw out the gun. Police charged Cornell Moor, 23, of the 3900 block of Gwynn Oak Ave., with handgun-related offenses and possession with intent to distribute.

Police said they also charged a passenger, Brandon Richardson, 22, of the 4400 block of Old Court Road, and the driver, Brian Avinger, 22, of Belleville Ave., with drug offenses in connection with the marijuana. Police could not immediately say whether the limo was rented from a company.
